Can you imagine if restroom signs were like most websites or landing pages?
They would probably read something like this:
"Welcome to our state of the art full service restroom portal featuring the latest in high-tech ceramic plumbing and hygenic apparatus. We specialize in tailoring your experience to the highest level of service and seek to exceed your expectations."
Now if you really needed to use the restroom you would probably be confused, not to mention frustrated and uncomfortable.
Compare this puffery to restrooms signs:
Men
Women
Two simple choices. No hype.
Next time you are developing a conversion path, think about how much more effective this simplicity is when solving someone's needs.
